Mdundo Set To Host The First Ever Digital Awards Ceremony Dubbed, “The Mdundo Awards”

Mdundo is East Africa’s first legal music download platform. With more than 10,000 songs from Kenya’s biggest artists. We have a library of free Kenyan music with a share of premium music – which requires a monthly subscription fee.

 

The Mdundo Awards is an awards show that is being held to celebrate and to acknowledge the most downloaded songs by Kenyan artists during the year of March 2013 – March 2014. The award show will focus solely on the most downloaded songs and not necessarily the most popular…
This is because mdundo is a downloading platform and that is the way in which we determine the most popular songs and in turn artists.

 

 The mdundo awards will be an Invite Only Black Tie affair that will have amongst its attendees Captains of the music industry and the top 200 most downloaded Kenyan musicians. It will be a night of Glamour bringing on board the very best of Live performances, fashion and celebration of the work that the winners and nominees have put in to ensure that with every song they are perfecting their artistry. 

 

 With mdundo having very recently issued out this years quarterly payments, it is only fitting for us to hold our first ever awards show thereafter. We endeavour to have more of these awards and hope that this will encourage our musicians and generate support from fans to subscribe and pay for their favourite artists music.
