While many of us are sleeping, some Kenyans are awake, and the love for those juicy topics especially sex and relationship issues, they are looking for a source to quench their thirst and they are willing to search wide and wait for as long as it takes.

And radio is today’s source of these things…since it has become a crime to talk about sex during peak time, late night shows discussing the latter have sprung up like fast food shops in every corner, radios each have their own cocktail to serve thirsty Kenyans, those curious to learn a thing or two, those naturally naughty and of course, the know it all, who usually call and share their expertise and knowledge.

Kenyans love those dirty late night, sensual talks, and will wait till 3a.m listening to these radio chats and call conversations. That is how serious the situation is, the thirst for such is unbelievable, and who waits all night listening to radio? When others are sleeping? Many!

So, Last week, sleep disappeared off me, and after wondering when this January will end, I found myself going through local radio frequencies, trying to get a fix and alas!

I get just what I was looking for, the fix with some guy called Leon Lidigu and what captured my attention was the topic, inter-religion inter-racial dating..And how hard it is to have a healthy relationship especially if the parents get totally in the middle of it, the hardship of say Muslim-Christian dating? And then there are those who always have bedroom issues that are so elephant to be discussed in their rooms and wish to let us know about it.Communication starts with you…you can always talk it out.

Then there are those dirty minds who call the host and tell him how madly in love they are with his voice, blah blah, and of course team mafisi, trying to get hooked up…and probably meet and smash! Crazy! The calls coming through, the number is just unbelievable!

If you got something burning and looks like help isn’t coming through after endlessly seeking advice on Kilimani mums and other Facebook groups, Instagram or Twitter, you can take them to radio, just in case you miss out on morning breakfast radio platforms.

The Fix will get you fixed, follow the chats on Nation FM, Every Monday to Saturday 11pm to 3am.
