Atumpan is the stage name of Frank Elinam Cobbinah (conceived 24 December 1983), a Ghanaian afrobeat and dancehall vocalist.

Conceived on 24 December 1983, Cobbinah hails from Avenor in the Volta Region of Ghana and started making music in his initial school days. He had his essential instruction at Yaa Asantewaa M/An essential and junior optional school at Kumasi in the Ashanti Region and proceeded to Boa Amponsem senior auxiliary school in the Central Region of Ghana, where he filled in as stimulation official. In 2002 he was admitted to Wiawso College of Education, where he prepared as an expert educator. In October 2008, he picked up admission to the University of Education, Winneba, where he read for a four year college education course in Linguistics, studying English Language.

Cobbinah started executing as Atumpan (which means Talking Drum in the Akan dialect) in 2011, when he discharged a noteworthy hit called “The Thing”. “The Thing” picked up him designations for Best New Artiste of the year, Best Afropop Song of the Year, and Best Collaboration of the year in the 2012 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

In 2013, he was named for Best African Act in the 2013 MOBO Awards[2] and furthermore won the Best International Afrobeats Act in the 2013 BEFFTA Awards.[3] Cobbinah in 2014 got designation in the Urban Music Awards for the Best African/Afrobeat Act alongside Sarkodie and Fuse ODG.

As of now with Hardboy Music, Atumpan’s current hit singles incorporate “Regina” and “Gimme some more”, which include Samini and Sarkodie separately.
