Dayo Olatunji (brought into the world 4 March 1992), better known by her stage name Dyo

(once in the past Ms D), is an Ivor Novello named, multi-platinum selling English vocalist songwriter.[1] Arena

Early life

Dyo experienced childhood in East Ham, East London. Her mom was conceived in the United Kingdom and her dad was conceived in Lagos, Nigeria.[1]

Having begun to sing at 4 years old, at age 10 she began to partake in ability shows, rivalries and performing in school assemblies.[1] Arena


2009–2016: Ms D

Under her past stage name ‘Ms D’, she was credite as the highlighte craftsman and co-author for each of the three of rapper Wiley’s hit singles from his 2013 collection The Ascent including UK Chart #1 Single “Heatwave”.

More so, in December 2012, she was on “Reliance”, the introduction single by English artist Charlie Brown.[2]

She is additionally popular for her vocals on rapper Chip’s 2009 UK Chart #1 single “Whoops”. Ms D was credited as a musician and support vocalist for Iggy Azalea’s 2013 single “Bounce”.[3]

2016–present: Dyo

In June 2016, divulging her new stage name ‘Dyo’, she also receive credit as the include vocalist and co-author of pop melody “Sexual” by Swedish maker NEIKED. The track however was a widely praise, multi-platinum selling universal hit single. On 15 September 2016, Dyo marked a distributing manage Warner/Chappell Music.[4]Arena

Furthermore, on 19 April 2017, Dyo was name for Best Contemporary Song at the 62nd Ivor Novello Awards for her songwriting deal with “Sexual”.[5] On 25 August 2017, Fifth Harmony discharged their third studio collection which highlights a melody entitled “Forlorn Night” co-composed by Dyo.

In 2018, she worked together with Nigeria’s Adekunle Gold on his About 30 collection on a track titled Down With You and seemingly the best track on the collection which prompted her expanded prevalence in her nation of origin, Nigeria.

In June 2018, Luis Fonsi discharged his new single ‘Calypso’ ft. Stefflon Don, a tune on which Dyo is creditedd as a co-writer.[6] On 1 October 2018, Dyo got a BMI grant for her songwriting commitment on the Maroon 5 hit single ‘What Lovers Do’.[7]
