Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr., conceived on October 17, 1984 to Charles Mensah Snr. also, Elsie Evelyn Avemegah, and known by his stage name Shatta Wale (once in the past Bandana), is a Ghanaian-conceived maker and reggae-dancehall artist. He is best known for his melody “Dancehall King”, which prompted winning the Artiste of the Year at the 2014 release of the Ghana Music Awards. He set out to Jamaica to learn dancehall.
