Mututho The Debt Defaulter: Why The NACADA Chief Will Always Stick In Larry Madowo’s Mind

Now we understand why even the Naivasha electorate rejected him outright when he stood for the parliamentary seat in 2013 and lost only to be given a lifeline by President Uhuru Kenyatta as NACADA head.

Meet John Mututho, the man whom revelers wouldn’t want to hear about especially when they are enjoying their bottle after a day’s hustles and bustles.

Mututho came into the limelight fully when he launched a campaign aimed at regulating the time and amount of bottles one squeezed down their throat before they staggered home to give their wives sleepless nights. Or so sleep with their muddy shoes on.

Mid last year, allegations surfaced that Mututho is a bad employer if I am allowed to use this word.

The man who owns a radio station, 103.7 Mururi FM, which covers several parts of central region, was accused of not paying his employees since 2013 and that majority had left for greener pastures and was contemplating a law suit against the liquor-phobic former legislator.

Well, we had forgotten this incident until late last month when celebrated media personality, whom some thespian recently defended after being accused of being arrogant, revealed that Mututho still owes him money.

Larry has tried life before and his passion for journalism landed him in Mututho’s Kikuyu radio station before he made a break-through in the media industry.

Larry worked as a news presenter with the radio station but Mututho never paid him all his dues. He could later chase quite a number away and Larry says that Mututho still owes him money.

He was speaking at the JKL show where he also fired shots at Ghafla for frequently writing stories about him.

Well, Mututho is a debt defaulter.
