Actress, Nancy Isime Talks About Fighting Depression as a Kid

Nancy Isime wishes to help teenagers battling depression, with her story.

Actress, Nancy Isime, in a long Instagram posts, writes about growing up with insecurities, and how she overcame them.

According to her, in her early years, she was always scared to talk to people. This was because of the fear of being asked to shut up. She knew she was funny inside of her but would never crack a joke because of that fear.

Often times, she nurtured suicidal thoughts until her teenage years when she no longer had them. At that point, she still had her fears but she no longer considered taking her life, she said.

All of these, however, became a thing of the past when she decided to speak out and crack all the jokes she had in her head. If no one laughs, she was going to laugh at her own jokes, she told herself. This therefore was how she became who she is now.

This story, according to her, is to encourage all the Young ones going through what she went through, she noted.
