Nope Maina Kageni Did Not Suffer A Knee Injury, This Is the Real Reason Why He Was Admitted To Hospital and This Is When He Will Be Resuming Work

Maina Kageni was recently admitted to the Agha Khan hospital after he suffered a knee injury after allegedly slipping and twisting his foot during a Road Trip to Kajiado.

The said injury was so serious that he had to be scheduled into surgery .The jovial presenter posted this massage before going under the knife “Surgery scheduled for tonight at 8pm…. Nitakie mema tafadhali…. But I’ll be out of here tomorrow… I’m a ninja like that!!!!!! Have a great afternoon….”

But as Shaffie Weru revealed during the launch of TRACE Mziki last night at B Club, Maina Kageni was admitted to hospital after a snake decided to dig its fangs into his skin at Kajiado. Luckily he survived the bite and was rushed to hospital before things got out of hand.

Just like most of us who aren’t medical practitioners , I didn’t know that snake bites require surgery but a little research revealed that is needed in a few cases.

According to aafp, surgery can be performed to save your limbs through a process called Fasciotomy which is basically a surgical procedure where the fascia (connective tissue) is cut to relieve tension or pressure if there is a problem in circulation

The limb-saving procedure treats acute Compartment Syndrome; a condition resulting from increased pressure within a confined body space, especially of the leg or forearm due to bleeding or swelling after an injury.

Thanks to the medics at Agha Khan, fans and listeners should expect him to come back on air next week on Tuesday.
