NTV’s Boss Finally Unveiled at President Uhuru’s Media House

In March this year, we exclusively revealed to you that the Managing Director at NTV, Ian Fernandes, is decamping to President Uhuru-affiliated media house, Mediamax.

Yesterday, Mediamax Network Limited Board of Directors announced the appointment of Fernandes as the the group’s new Chief Executive Officer.

Making the announcement on behalf of the board, Granton Samboja said Fernandes was brought in to work in conjunction with the board of directors to implement the group’s long-term strategy of gaining considerable market share in the Kenyan media industry, reports The People.

Mediamax recently acquired a state-of-the-art printing press for its publishing division and is in the process of establishing new high technology television and radio studios at its new head office at DSM Place on Kijabe Street in Nairobi.

Samboja also announced that plans are at an advanced stage to launch other major radio brands which will enable Mediamax gain considerable market share in the Kenyan media industry.
