REDD’s Interviews Tujuane’s Host

Redd’s Kenya recently launched a new variant to their portfolio, Redd’s Vodka Lemon. They also sponsored the recently concluded Kenya Fashion week.

Yesterday, we published an interview they did with fashion columnist, Carol Odera. Today, we present to you an interview they did with Tujuane host and fashion stylist, Yvonne Bulimo. Read it below.

REDD’S: When and how did your relationship with fashion begin?

My fashion career began when I launched my lifestyle blog “MYLifeStyleMude” in 2009. Through my blog I have been able to give ladies across the globe styling trends and shopping and beauty tips. On top of blogging, I’ve also styled several photo shoots and music videos, both in the United States and Kenya.

REDD’S: What are your top 5 Fashion tips?

– Always dress for your body shape.
– Confidence and a smile are your greatest assets.
– A little black dress and stiletto heels can go a long way.
– Don’t follow trends, set them and create your own.
– Accessorize with jewellery and a red lip to a boring outfit to give it some added glam.

REDD’S: What’s your advice on getting ahead in the world of business?

An ego and bad attitude can prevent you from landing your dream job; instead of hating your entry-level position keep adding experience to your resume and networking. Your network is your net-worth, and with a good quality of connections you can go anywhere. You will get more NOs than YESes, use them as fuel to keep you grinding until you get what you want.

REDD’S: Your final word?

Never get too comfortable, anyone can be replaced; keep re-branding yourself to keep you ahead of the game.
