Rest for Who? Hot on the Heels of Their Sold-Out Eldoret Concert, Sauti Sol Drop ‘Tulale Fofofo’ Featuring South Africa’s Mi Casa

On Saturday April 23rd, Sauti Sol’s Live and Die in Afrika Tour landed in the city of champions – Eldoret, to a tumultuous reception in a concert, held at the Eldoret Sports Club, pulling crowds of about 3,000 plus attendees.

With gates opening at 7:00 p.m. and the party kicking till about 6:00 a.m., Kenya’s number one hypeman DNG and DJ Kaffi kept the crowd charged and ready for what would be a world-class performance. Eldoret opening acts included One Day Band and dance groups: G Warriors and Jaspers Dance Crew. One Day Band won KISS FM’s Eldoret search for Sauti Sol’s opening acts for the Live and Die in Afrika Tour.

Performing songs in the album: Live and Die in Afrika, among hit singles, Sauti Sol wowed the youthful Eldoret crowd with their energetic set backed by their 8-man band, dance choreographer Chiluba and GQ Dancers. High-energy songs included the performances of Live and Die in Afrika, Unconditionally Bae and Shake Yo Bam Bam.

Like the Nakuru edition of Live and Die in Afrika Tour, Eldoret concert also boasted showbiz, attracting several personalities and politicians. They included the Kenyan athlete champion: Ezekiel Kemboi, KISS FM’s Shaffie Weru and comedians Wilbroda and Mwala.

For the tour, Sauti Sol is styled by Brian Babu and in Eldoret they wore outfits designed by the Kenyan designers: Kepha Maina, Monoxrome, Kapotia Designs, Afrostreet Kollections and Itikadi.
