Boity Thulo joins powerful initiative

Boity Thulo has taken her time to invest in girls. She has joined the HER initiative, to support and empower them.

The HER initiative illustrates how the Global Fund amplifies and extends the impact of U.S. policy. Together with partners, the Global Fund has set a bold target to reduce the number of new HIV infections among adolescent girls and young women by 58% in 13 African countries over the next five years.

Taking to social media, Boity said she couldn’t be prouder to be part of such an initiative.

“I am so honoured and grateful to Sibulele Sibaka for granting me the opportunity and privilege of being a part of this powerful movement, Global Fund’s HER campaign. I could not be prouder to be part of an initiative that is as passionate about investing in young women as I am. In some countries, girls account for more than 80 percent of all new HIV infections among adolescents. Global Fund and partners back HER to help keep girls HIV free. I stand with HER,” read Boity’s caption.
