Connie Chiume creates monologue on Ma Winnie Mandela’s life (Video)
As part of a six part series in honor of Ma Winnie Mandela’s life, Connie Chiume has capture just how much impact she had.
In the monologue, Connie has joined Lerato Mvelase, Hlubi Mboya, Mona Monyane, Busisiwe Mtshali and Thuso Mbedu. They record monologues based on certain portions of the struggle hero’s life for online acting portal, Actor Spaces.
Connie Chiume makes a very emotional performance as she talks about her.
“It is about time the women of this country gave a strong warning to all those racists out there who keep calling us monkeys, who keep calling us baboons that they must remember. They must remember what we have done to them in the past. There were times when we were all by ourselves in the country and yet we defeated them,” said Connie in the clip.
