Kim Kardashian and Kanye West name third child

Kim and Kanye West have finally named their third child. Prior to this, fans had started coming up with interesting names, to rhyme with their other two children’s names.

The couple named their daughter Chicago West. Kim announced the name through her app. She later suggested that Chicago already had a nickname ‘Chi’, to be pronounced as ‘Shy’.

Chicago, was born via a surrogate last Monday. She weighed 7.6 pounds (3.3 kilograms).

Kim tweeted saying, “We are incredibly grateful to our surrogate who made our dreams come true with the greatest gift one could give and to our wonderful doctors and nurses for their special care.

“North and Saint are especially thrilled to welcome their baby sister.”

Kim and Kanye have a four year old daughter North West, and two year old son, Kanye West.

The couple chose a surrogate after Kim had had two complicated pregnancies, shutting down the possibility of a third.

They paid the surrogate $45,000, banning her from smoking, taking drugs, hot baths, dyeing her hair and eating raw fish, during the pregnancy.
