Pabi Moloi speaks on her Saftas nomination

Pabi Moloi says she has developed her skills as a talk show presenter since the first time she set foot on Trending SA as a co-host.

She has now been nominated for the Best Talk Show Host category at the Safta awards.

Pabi couldn’t be happier with the nomination, which also happens to be her second nomination.

“I am thrilled. I love what I do and it’s always a lovely surprise to be recognised for my work.”

She learnt about her nomination through Twitter, while in her car.

Pabi has been with the show since it’s inception in 2016. She says she has developed her skills and patience too.

What keeps her fans coming back for more in her shows is the content.

“People see themselves reflected in our content. It’s a quick and irreverent catch up on the top news and entertainment stories which comes in handy if you have not been fully aware of the internet or the papers.”

Pabi’s favorite moments on set are when the entire presenting team is involved in physical comedy scenes. Interviews make her very happy.

One person she would love to interview is Caster Semenya.

Pabi’s advice about the entertainment industry to her younger teen self is “Keep calm and carry on!”
