Photo: Lalla Hirayama pulls intricate pose in latest social media post

Lalla Hirayama has come out talking about her battle with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). This she did in a post on Instagram, where she also spoke about being naked in front of a room full of people for the shoot.

“Besides the normal ‘growing up as a women’ in today’s society, the effects of PCOS changed how I felt about my body, how I felt IN my body and how I hated it. But today I am grateful for what my body has taught me; sometimes the most powerful act in life is not to fight but to listen, [sic]” part of her post reads.

For Lalla, being naked on set felt: “Being fully naked in front of a room full of magazine staff was ‘weird’ but this was my depiction of ‘letting go, being vulnerable but maintaining my power’.”
