The late reverend is well known worldwide through his evangelistic work. He did this through a combination of religious conviction, commanding stage presence and shrewd use of radio, television and advanced communication technologies.

Burial details

Graham’s body will arrive at the Billy Graham Training Center in Asheville on Thursday. A private family prayer service will take place on Saturday and a motorcade will transport the body to the Billy Graham headquarters in Charlotte.

The private funeral service will then be held on March 2nd under a tent in front of the Billy Graham Library. This is in tribute to a famous crusade Graham conducted in Los Angeles in 1949, that earned him national prominence.

Graham habitually said, “My home is Heaven. I’m just travelling through this world.”

His survivors are his sister, five children, 19 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Tributes thus continue to pour to the family members.
