Drama as Akothee and poverty stricken Princess Julie almost exchange blows in Mombasa

Akothee was forced to throw former queen of Benga out of her house in Mombasa after she became rude to her to an extend that a fight almost erupted.

So many artists have tried to help Princess Julie come out of poverty but it seems the former queen of Benga is determined to live in penury.

Akothee is the latest musician who tried to rescue Princess Julie from the pangs of poverty but the ‘Dunia Mbaya’ hit maker decided to be VERY ungrateful and ridiculously rude.

In a lengthy post, Akothee revealed she invited Princess Julie to her Mombasa house where she was to discuss how she would help her get back in the industry.

Even before she travelled to Mombasa, Princess Julie demanded that Akothee clears her rent arrears and pay for her bus fare. She travelled with her son.

Drama ensued when Julie arrived at Akothee’s house in Mombasa; she didn’t want anyone to take photos of her and Akothee was cool with her decision; friction between the two songstresses started when Julie’s son took a photo of her mother and uploaded on Facebook.

A vexed Princess Julie uttered satirical words in Luo to scold Akothee;

“Stop posting my photos with Akothee on Facebook, people will see her with me and think she has given me million and there is nothing she has helped me with,” Akothee recited Princess Julie’s word. (The words have been translated from Luo).

All hell broke loose when Akothee told Julie that she would be monitoring how she makes money with the sound system she was going to give her; Julie burst out in anger and rebuked Akothee.

Annoyed and disappointed by her action, Akothee decided to kick her out the following morning. She says she doesn’t regret her to decision to do so.

Below is Akothee narration of what transpired between her and Princess Julie:

WELL, am so hurt this morning following the constant harassment I get from media trying to know what transpired between me & the queen of Benga princess July , It’s with a big shock that the family is now taking advantage of the situation & trying to paint my image in a negative way , I really don’t know what they’re motive is , but from the bottom of my heart I regret why I even contacted her in the first place , I saw it on media that she needed help so I asked my younger sister to fetch for her no. , I even consulted one of my friends & this was her answer ” mama be careful with most fallen artists, the pride doesn’t leave them even though the fame & money is gone , help her from a distance but don’t bring her close to you , you might regreat ” but with the kind of a heart I have I wanted to hear her side of story , so I contacted her , & invited her to come for a holiday in my home in mombasa , through this I was able to gauge & see where I can start from with the help, I sent her money to go to the hair dresser buy a few clothes & the rest for transport, after the money was spent, the son & said that his mother cannot travell alone, therefore I have to send transport for 2 , secondly I have to send money for her rent because her rent was in areas , I did exactly that , then they arrived in mombasa safe & sound , I accommodated them for 5 days inside my house not even at the guest quarters, for I wanted her to feel like part & parcel of me , unfortunately I realised she was always running away from photos when we were at the pool or dinning , “I have a permanent photographer who takes photos of me with or without guests , for my own memories ” so I was wondering why , then the son Makajuli took a photo with his phone while we were dinning & posted on his face book page ! ” the mother , princess July became sooooooo mad & asked him to bring the photo down this were her words “wek keto pichana gi Akothee e Facebook, Ji biro Nena kode to weni osemiya milionde to onge kata gima osekonyago!!!!!” I stopped eating & took a deep breath, this was day 3 of our dinning , then on the 4th day , I asked her what she would like me to do for her.

She said she needed a house soundsystem & a collabo with me for her come back , I din’t mind the three things she mentioned , I believe everyone has a dream , so I told her we better start small , I have sound system already I will hand it over to her but will also be part of monitoring how she makes money with it till she is stable ,then we can start with the house, she stood up with pride & beat her chest for me , that ” do you know who I am , I am princess July, she was on top of her voice that my kids came running down stairs in a shock thinking we had a fight , the son who is now coming up with stories so my anger , yes I am a human being , I became so maaad, disappointed etc, I could not stand seeing them both in my house, the night was so long that I could not wait for morning to come so I release my guests , with disappointments! I heard the son opening my bedroom door

Even with a D- in Maths, Singer Akothee shares her KCSE results

Who ever knew that Akothee sat for her KCSE in 2003? Well, the singer has shared her results on her gram to reveal what she scored in her Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education.

In a detailed post the Benefactor hit maker revealed that she scored a C+ after dropping out of school for a couple of years to take care of her chidren. Akothee says she got married to her ex husband at the age of 14 and was not able to complete her secondary education.

I dropped out of school & got married at the age of 14 , I had 4 kids by the time I was 20 years old , I served my mother in law as a house girl for 7 solid years since my then husband was a student.

During that time she had 4 children and had to work as a house-help for her mother in law for 7 years. According to her, she had not lost hopes of returning to school to complete her education. After 10 years of being a submissive wife, the singer went back to school and managed to score a C+ even though Mathematics was a bit harsh on her.

I collected myself in 2003 & decided to go back to school after staying in the house as a house wife for 10 years , I scored C+, I was the 3rd best in our school & the first girl , it’s never too late , you can achieve what you want if you go for it , maths

Akothee has finally opened up about her relationship with her manager Nelson Oyugi popularly known as Nelly Oaks.

A while back, Kenya’s richest singer was alleged to be dating her manager after several factors were compiled.

Akothee has now come clean to reveal that she loves Nelly Oaks; she however made it clear that her love is work related ONLY.

The ‘Benefactor’ singer says Nelly is the best manager she has ever had; she attributed her success in 2016 to her manager. Akothee dropped some of the biggest hits in 2016; ‘My Sweet Love’ ft Diamond and ‘Give It To Me’ ft Flavour, which won her two AFRIMMA awards.

The rich songstress took a swipe at her former managers whom she said opted to seek fame and rode on her brand.

It’s a baby boy! Singer Akothee this morning announced her brother and his wife welcomed the newest member of their family through her social media pages. The singer paid the couple a visit at undisclosed maternity as she also shared the baby’s to flaunt him

Akothee’s big broether, Godfrey Kokeyo, is apparently a biology teacher and shockingly is known by Akothee’s fans. From the comments we only gathered he is a biology teacher who is proud to have fathered a baby boy with his wife.

The benefactor hit maker however did not disclose his brother’s wife int the photo she uploaded. This is new as she is known to parade her family members on her social media.

Anyway, the good news comes a day after Marya welcomed her baby boy with Kevo. Confratulations to the two families for their healthy baby boys.

Akothee refuses to get saved… Says some forces are holding her back from giving her life to Christ

Kenyan richest singer is contemplating getting saved but something is holding her back from giving her life to Christ.

Akothee revealed she had thought about getting saved and starting a new chapter as a gospel singer devoid of earthly pleasures.

The songstress goes on to doubt her ability to cope with the demands and expectations of being a ‘saved soul’.

Akothee is totally livid as I write this and it has everything to do with a lady by the name Cindy.

Now Cindy the other day went to Facebook and accused Akothee of being a con and a thief where she alleges the Sweet love Singer tried to con her 2 million bob but it never came to pass. That was before she went ahead to leaks some n*de photos claiming that they belonged to Akothee.

This was the first post she made regarding the issue:

It is indeed true that back in the day Brown Mauzo was once Akothee’s man. However, they fell out due to some issues that are yet to be revealed and the two musicians carried on with their lives.

Since then Brown Mauzo has been doing just fine with his career and so far has managed to work with AliKiba and Rich Mavoko from Tanzania and rumour has it that he is aiming higher this year.

His ex Akothee on the other hand has been winning awards and paying for collaborations with big African singers who have pushed her name to another level.

Anyway, Brown Mauzo is back with a new song dubbed Apotee which clearly rhymes with Akothee’s name. The singer talks about not having enough money however he was not planing on letting go of his love this time around.

Marya

Almost everybody thought Marya was going to be Colonel Mustafa’s wife back then when they used to be the ideal celebrity couple.

Before blogs came, we used to read on Pulse and Buzz how Marya and Mustafa were laying groundwork for their marriage.

But they broke up and we heard several explanations why they decided to part ways; Mustafa’s philandering ways and Marya’s hesitation to convert to Islam, were some of the reasons that were mentioned to have caused their breakup.

Avril

We started hearing about the mysterious guy Avril was dating in 2013. She unmasked her then South African fiancée, Leslie Mugadza, aka Muga, in 2014 when she revealed she had gotten engaged.

After two years of waiting for Avril’s wedding, only bad news came instead. It started as a rumor early last year but in mid 2016, Avril confirmed she had broken up with Muga. And the reason for their breakup is? They are yet to clarify that.

She broke up with her fiancée a day before she walked down the aisle. Akothee was to get married on 5^th November 2016 but shit just happened.

She told Larry Madowo on the Trend show on Friday, November 4^th 2016 that she was not in a hurry to have a ring slid on her finger because she wanted to concentrate on her music career.

Apparently Akothee had friction with her fiancée who was feeling that music was taking too much of her time.

Her case is the most agonizing. Singer Sara Nanaa broke up with her fiancée some minutes before she said “I do”.

The songstress’ sister stumbled upon a video of the groom smashing Nanaa’s best friend during his bachelor party.

Akothee’s daughter was among those who excelled in the closely monitored 2016 KCSE examination. The way the “Benefactor” singer is celebrating her daughter’s excellence you would think she was the one who sat for the exam.

Education Cabinet Secretary, Fred Matiang’I, has managed to curb cases of cheating in national examinations; and the result was a sharp decrease in the number of students who scored ‘As’ and an upsurge of ‘Es’ in 2016 KCSE.

Akothee’s daughter, Celine, managed to score a grade that will take her to university; her mother didn’t reveal the grade she attained but from Akothee’s words one could tell Celine’s grade was something above C+.
