Teacher Wanjiku Leaves Churchill Show. Was She Fired? Find Out

You may have noted the prolonged absence of Teacher Wanjiku from Churchill show, and many have been wondering what she is up to. However, Ghafla! has established that the funny teacher is no longer on the show due.

Speaking to Teacher Wanjiku, the top female comedian confirmed that in deed she’s left Churchill Show to pursue “other projects” that she remained tight-lipped about. Earlier, there were widespread rumours that Laugh Industry, makers of the Churchill Show, wanted to take 55% of the 6 million she made from the Airtel endorsement which led to bitter fallout between Teacher Wanjiku and Churchill, resulting to her being locked out of the show in recent times.

However, Teacher Wanjiku vehemently denies this saying there’s no bad blood between Churchill and herself and that they’re still in communication and very good friends.

“Churchill has been a great inspiration and a role model to me; he has supported me in my career and I will forever be grateful and much humbled,” said the comedian.

Asked why her exit from Churchill Show was unanticipated (especially by her fans), she points out that her withdrawal from the favourite comedy show was in the works and it was only a matter of time. Teacher Wanjiku argues that she’s reached her envisioned target and it’s time to move on. She divulges that has something up her sleeves that will come as a surprise to her fans.

“Leaving Churchill Show was planned and I even talked to him about it.”

Close sources to Teacher Wanjiku however intimate that Teacher Wanjiku is set to launch her independent show similar to the botched Eric Omondi show that aired on KTN sometime back.

To her fans,

“I want to thank my fans for the continued support. Am not stopping comedy, am just starting.”

For now, you have to make do without the funny teacher on Churchill Show which resumes recording next Thursday.
