The Death of Jacob Juma Spells Doom for Kenya and It’s About Time as Kenyans We Took Over or Else we Burn. I Suggest We Start Here! #TasteaFeeling

Jacob Juma is dead! Those were the sad news that hit the blogosphere early today morning. A provocateur, philanthropist and lifeist, he had made a name for himself as the go to person in matters politics and business. And also he was a CORD sycophant and supported the party’s agenda to the core.

He was killed in cold blood near Lenana School by gunmen riding in a motorbike and the country is now up in arms. Twitter especially has blown up and I can understand why. We are living in scary times and a lot of us don’t even know it. We will still go to 1824 and smoke shisha tonight and we’ll get vocal about Game of Thrones when it airs on Sunday while the country is on the verge of a disaster.

I mean look at the current state of affairs. Just the other day CORD had held demonstrations promising to out IEBC commissioners from their offices. Of course they were met with the full force of the law but they vowed to continue until the latter happens. And just in case it doesn’t happen, CORD is threatening not to participate in the elections. I don’t know about you but that automatically spells doom for the country.

We can’t also forget the massive corruption currently facing the government and which has slowly trickled to the counties. I’m talking major scandals costing the country tax payers billions and billions of shillings coupled up by international debt which more often than not is ending up in the pockets of a few individuals.

I could go on to our security situation but I’m sure you get my point, our country is surely going to the dogs and we need to do something about it. It’s about time we said no and command better leadership. It’s about time we cast out the demons of tribalism, intolerance and greed or else we’ll end up in a situation currently facing Burundi.

And just like you, I don’t how to do it. I don’t have an answer to the shit hole that is Kenya right now. I vow to do something though, even though it’s to make gif’s expressing my resentment and disappointment while asking experts and opinion shapers to intervene.  I vow to constantly write articles and consult various stakeholders trying to seek answers which I can in turn hope will install some level of sanity in our leaders.

You should too, do something! I insist do something. Start that trend on twitter, make that march to State house or make that gif if you have to expressing how you feel and maybe just maybe, tomorrow will be a better day.
