It almost feels strangely like the boy who cried “Jackal”; for a while now, the threat of the pre-reported El-nino rains seemed like a distant dream or a creation of the media. Until last night when the heavens released their fury in a thunderstorm that brought Nairobi to a standstill. From hiked matatu fares to serious flooding, the El-nino is finally here.
