The Very First 7D Theatre Set Up in Kenya

 

Showbiz Africa Ltd has set up Kenya’s first 7D theatre in TRM Mall on Thika Road. It offers movie aficionados and thrill seekers in East Africa the first 7D theatre experience.

The theatre quietly opened its doors to the public on Valentines weekend with a special Ksh600 couple’s offer. They are currently charging Ksh350 for a show.

The 7D Theater is one of the most advanced in the industry, employing interactive seats and unique special effects that are built into the theater itself. By creating a set of “7D” effects that are synchronized to the film production, the 7D Theater adds another layer of immersive fun for the audience.

The 7D cinema combines 3D, physical and environmental effects for an ultimate theatre experience. The seats at the theatre are 6 Degree of Freedom or DOF, which allows up and down, front and back, left and right movement in sync with the onscreen activity.

The experience also includes a wide variety of environmental effects including, smoke, fog, thunder, storm, wind, rain, snow, fragrance and more, depending upon the film’s storyline.

 

 

With all the quick movements involved, safety is a big issue. The theatre provides state of the art safety features. They include; built in safety control for emergency stop due to low pressure or heated hydraulic oil.

 

There are also emergency stop buttons in three locations, a hydraulically operated safety bar, mechanical safety stoppers for all four axes and an automatic sink at controlled rate to stable position in the event of power failure.
