The Year’s Biggest IMAX Films, All Showing Today

Some of the biggest IMAX films of the year will be showing throughout today at IMAX XX Century.

Hunger Games: Catching Fire received its world premier at the IMAX on Mama Ngina late last night. The films follows up from where the first film left off. The stakes are higher as all the previous tributes go against each other.

Gravity, the film that has captured the imagination of audiences and critics alike, will also be showing. It follows the tribulations of two astronauts who who find themselves stranded in spaces after calamity strikes following a routine spacewalk.

HUBBLE is the groundbreaking film that brought the magic of space and distant galaxies. The film pushed the boundaries of IMAX and 3-D documentary storytelling, so much so that it was a huge influence for Gravity, which has been lauded for a realistic depiction of space ‘life.’
