Thieving Maid Busted Living Large In Kakamega Complete With A New House And Husband After Stealing 500,000 Shillings From Nairobi Employer (Video)

A housemaid who stole 500,000 KES in cash from her employer in Nairobi ad been busted living it large in Kakamega.

Jackline Muhonja was back in last year working as a house help for a family in Imara Daima estate until she made off with the loot. She broke into her employers’ bedroom and took the whole savings went into hiding finding her way to her rural home in Kakamega. She left behind the one year old child she was supposed to be caring for unattended.

In Kakamega, she built a house and got married to a man who moved in with her. She was living large at least by village standards.  The long arm of the law caught up with her in almost a month long process of tracing her. When she was busted and taken to a police station along with her husband, she pleaded for leniency.

She also begged for the release of her man whom she says did not know she had stolen the money.
