This Is What James Smart Had To Say About NTV’s Richard Chacha After Rumours That He Was Fired For Being Disabled

Richard Chacha was the most popular face on prime time news on NTV until 2012 when the most unfortunate incident happened to him and his colleagues, among them his boss Linus Kaikai.

The NTV crew was headed to Transmara to collect news and as they headed for the day’s assignment, the car they were travelling in and which Richard was driving overturned, leaving them with serious injuries.

For Chacha, this was the beginning of his woes as he emerged as the most hurt from the accident. He spent long time in hospital receiving treatment. Finally he left the hospital disabled. He was not the Chacha we so enjoyed seeing on screen.

Since the incident Richard has been out of the limelight until recently when rumour littered the air that the same Kaikai he was with when the accident occurred had decided to lay him off because he (Chacha) could not work.

Kenyans were taken aback by the unfortunate incident and took to the social media to air their discontent at the rumour.

It seems the rumour got to the doors of Chacha’s colleagues in the media industry who also expressed their worry at the unfortunate incident.

Among them is former NTV and KTN anchor James Smart who took to his twitter account to tell the world what he knows about Chacha. Smart worked with Chacha at NTV before leaving for KTN.

He said:

smart

Many Kenyans expressed their disgust at the news and called upon the reinstatement of Chacha with an immediate effect.

Chacha has since denied that he was sacked by NTV for being disabled. He said through his social media account that he still works with NTV.
