Is no wonder she was recently upgraded into a News Editor in charge of research and planning at KTN. Speaking to Yvonne revealed what her new  job entails.

She also hosts the popular #Checkpoint political show on KTN. In her career she has interviewed dignitaries like President Uhuru Kenyatta, Dep. President William Ruto, Businessman Manu Chandaria, former Head of United Nations International Strategy for Disaster Reduction in Kenya Pedro Basabe, Rebecca Nyandeng (widow of Dr. John Garang de Mabior) and various cabinet secretaries and MPs.
But despite spending a decade in the media and being at the very top as a news anchor, Yvonne Okwara is not too posh for village life.
The glamorous news anchor stripped down the city look for a more village-friendly look in a whimsical leopard dress.
 
She also tried balancing what looks like a crate/mtungi on her head; caption the photo
