Jumia on E-commerce category for Digital Impact Awards 2017

For all of us who love to shop, and enjoy doing it online, it is time for us to show some love to our service providers. E commerce is the new trend in Uganda and it has spread far and wide. We can now order a range of items, from food and household commodities to clothing from the comfort of our homes and have it delivered right at our door steps whenever and wherever we need the. Convenient, speed and reliability at its best. In addition to this, transport has also been made easier as we can also order for cabs and Boda bodas at any time of the day.

The DIAA2017 (Digital Impact Awards Africa) is up and the public vote will contribute between 10% and 20% of select categories score. There are various sets of categories for Africa and Uganda, ranging from Best Mobile Banking, Best technology Brand on Social Media, Best E-service, Digital Brand of the year, and others under the commended use of Digital Sector (Uganda)

The E-commerce website which was launched in Uganda from Nigeria in 2014,  has continued to share a variety of their services is in one of the categories.  They range from different sub divisions such as Jumiafood, Jumia travel, Jumia online shopping and Jumia Jobs. Under the Best E-Commerce service, the platform is competing with other big names such ash OLX, Kilimall, and Cheki.
