The president rewards Stella Chesang and Cheptegei with a Monthly Salary and a new House

The president of Uganda, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has decided to show his unconditional support to the winners at the recently held Common Wealth games. He had promised to give  a monthly salary to whoever wins medals at the sports event, and he has delivered. The gold medalists are to receive a new house built in their names, and get a monthly salary. The rates of the salary are; 5million for gold, 3 million for silver and 1 million for bronze.

“I made a promise to whoever wins a gold medal that an international competition would get a monthly salary of shs 5m , silver 3m and shs1m for bronze. The five medalists today will get onto the paybill. I have also been told of some arrears to other athletes., they will be cleared” he posted.

THE PRESIDENT’S POST

The president also went ahead  to clear his promise about the new house. He added as below;

“Likewise, I will build a house for Cheptegei and Chesang who won gold medals, like I have done for previous gold medalists. The other issues raised by the Sebei Community will be attended to; the schools, safe water provision and construction of an airstrip to promote tourism“

This will greatly motivate the entire sports community of Uganda. Thank you, Mr. Presidnet.
