Pallaso confirms his brother chameleon will run for Kampala Mayor 2021

Younger brother to Chameleon Pius Mayanja, aka Pallaso confirmed that Chameleone will be in the running to become the next Lord Mayor of Kampala City.

Since early past year, rumor has been circulating of chameleon’s intentions but he’s spoken nothing of it prompting fans to think that it may be jokes.

“It’s not a joke, Chameleone is coming as Lord Mayor. The old people have done their part as leaders of this country, its now our turn as young people,” he said in a video published by Spark TV.

The mayoral post has been held by Elias Lukwago for 8 years and it will be nice to see a change in setting.

And the drama continues: Bebecool disses Bobi wine and Chameleone

Since being really close to the money pot Bebecool has grown a second head and decided to bash everyone that isn’t on his side. The singer clearly doesn’t understand why the saying never throw stones while in a glass house because he has thrown rocks at the artists with whom he climbed the music industry together.

Bebe Cool now associates with the president

On Douglas lwanga’s after 5 show on NBS TV, when asked about Bobi wine’s new trending song “tuliyambala engule” Bebecool pointed out that it is a funeral song so it doesn’t make sense.

Bebe Cool now

In a separate interview, Bebe Cool also claimed his fellow star chameleone’s videos are not popular because they are fake. He then promised to help him produce a classy video for free with the equipment he bought from the US.

“His music will travel more than he can imagine if he shoots splendid videos. He doesn’t like to invest. He has great music, but not  good videos,” he said.

What do you think of Bebecool’s behavior.

Chameleone gifts Manager Diamond watch worth Millions

‘Chameleone is as unpredictable as his name’ – so is said by those around him. Perhaps that is what excites them when he does something unexpected. The singer gifted his longtime manager Nkuke Robert Jackson commonly known as Mutima with a brand new diamond watch for his birthday.

Jackson Nkuke, the CEO of Mutima Entertainment has had his fair share of an on-and-off friendship with his boss Jose Chameleone since being appointed manager in July 2014. Around May in 2016, they fell out after a dispute centered on payments but Chameleone retained him.

Despite the fall outs, Mutima stood his guard and insisted on working consistently to deliver the very best services to help promote Leone Island Music Empire as a brand to greater heights. That has won him favor and loyalty from his boss who gifted him with a glittering watch, reported to be coated with diamonds on his birthday.

Dr Chameleone says he wants to perform his a concert alone without curtain Raisers

Chameleone who is set to hold his concert dubbed “Legend Again” late this year, has vowed not to have any curtain- raisers at his show.

The star will perform alone without any help from other artists as it has been the norm.

While appearing on a live interview on one of the local channels, the singer said, “We wasted a lot of time last year at hit after hit concert with curtain raisers, and I did not fully give the fans the true me. This year, expect no curtain-raiser. It is going to be a one-man show. I will perform from 8:00 pm to 11:30 pm. The other 30 minutes are for my fans to exit the venue.”

The “Mateeka” singer will hold his concert at Cricket Oval, Lugogo on 7th December.

He had earlier set his concert on 30th December but later chickened out after it collided with Sheebah Karungi’s concert at Rugby Grounds at Kyadondo.

Chameleone to bring in Shaba Ranks for his concert

After letting Sheebah have November 30 to herself, Chameleone says he is now in talks with legendary Jamaican singer, Shaba Ranks, to grace his concert. In an exclusive interview with the Mateeka singer at Blankets and Wines last Sunday, Chameleone revealed his concert will be dubbed “Legend Again!”

The self-proclaimed  legend further revealed he withdrew from November 30 not because he was afraid of competition from Sheebah but because he feels the latter needs a chance to do more concerts than he has. “I have been there, done concerts world over and across Uganda.

“This will only be Sheebah’s second big concert, so I feel she needs the date more than I do. Hers is to probably introduce a new album whilst mine will be a celebration of my legacy, again!” he added.

Chameleone added that flying in the Jamaican singer is not to pull crowds but a move aimed at sharing the same stage with someone he admired so much while starting his journey. “I admired Shabba so much, I wished I could be as big as he is. I feel like I have tried. I feel like I am as big as Shabba in my country and probably the continent. I just want him to be around and realise how big the boy who used to admire him has become.”

Sheebah and Chameleone set the same concert date

Singer Sheebah Karungi’s concert on the same date as legendary singer, Dr Jose Chameleone. Team No sleep (TNS) manager, Jeff Kiwanuka is a man of controversy.

Chameleone announced first that he would hold his annual concert on 30th of November at Lugogo, Cricket oval. And now, it turns out that Sheebah’s ‘Bera Nange’ concert will be at Kyadondo rugby grounds a few meters from Cricket Oval.

Sheebah’s concert will be organized by Kavuuma commonly known as KT promotions while Chameleone will be handled by the usual suspect, Balaam events and promotions.
In 2016,  Dancehall singer Roden Y from TNS held a concert on the same date with former ally Pallaso at Nyondo Pub and Freedom city respectively.

Last year, we witnessed history repeating its self as they went head to head again on 8th December.Pallaso was at Kyadondo while Roden Y at Lafatz lounge.

Chameleone paid 20 million to rejoin Bryan white foundation

When Joseph Mayanja aka Jose Chameleone fell out with Bryan White a few months Ago, unkind words were exchanged form both sides. Matter of fact, we did not expect these to ever see eye to eye again but as the saying goes, “where money beats Gonza”.

Chameleone is back to the Bryan White foundation aka Podium. Early last week, the singer was seen in a live video with the self proclaimed money bags and the two seemed to be having  great time while eating and drinking.

Chameleone shares the podium with brothers Weasel, Pallaso and other artistes including DJ micheal and cindy, Comedians like Alex Muhangi, Madrat, chiko and the like.

According to sources this is quickness of mending fences comes at a price, 20 million Ugx to be exact. In the video Chameleone was seen recieving an identity card which apparently belonged to anothe member of the foundation.

But being the Chameleone that he is, we hope we dont see a quick switch of colors as soon as the 20m runs out.

Shocking: Chameleone caught on camera stealing from Bryan white. Watch!

Jose chameleone the self proclaimed number one of East Africa was caught red handed stealing from socialite  Bryan white.

Chameleone who recently received 25 million Uganda shillings to cater for bed ridden radio has been seen very close to the socialite in the last couple of days.

He was seen chasing people from getting close to Bryan on their way to case clininc where radio is hospitalized.  This he used as an opportunity to snatch a bundle of 20s from the socialite’s back pocket not knowing that someone was filming.

The question is, Is Chameleone falling on hard times or is it simply a manifestation of money being the root of all evil? He has even stooped as low as camera man duties.

We have for you the exclusive video watch below.

Throwback Thursday; Songs of your childhood

Its throwback Thursday and we are looking back at the Ugandan songs that grew us. Where were you?

Kipepeo by Jose Chameleone

This song is a true classic many of us did our ‘creative dances’ in primary school to this one.

Eno mic by Ziggy Dee

This song got many of us beaten for singing it. Nonetheless we gyrated and still sang aloud.

Omwana Wabandi by Bobi Wine

None other than the good old days of the honorable himself. This song reintroduced the era of Calypso to the Ugandan music scene. Never forget.

Nabikoowa by Juliana Kanyomozi

Nothing beats this throwback from the youthful queen of Ugandan Music. Nabikoowa was an anthem for broken hearts countrywide so why not bring it back.

All i wanna know by klear kut feat Julianna

You can not claim to know hip hop in Uganda if you don’t know this song by klear kut. This was an anthem for the ‘rich kids’ in kabojja and Aga khan where Navio went to school and also features a young  ‘the mith’ and Shanice Kacungira as a video vixen. Its one to watch.
