Toyota Uganda Show Room, Industrial Area, Catches Fire

The Toyota Uganda Showroom, located on First Street Industrial Area on Jinja Road on Sunday caught Fire. The flames started off at 4pm causing multiple damages, on luxurious vehicles and other company assets, worth millions of Uganda shillings.

Some of the vehicles were destroyed, but the police was warned as neighbors in time, as they saw  smoke coming out of the showroom. The value of property, including new vehicles, that have been destroyed by the fire, are yet to be established as investigations continue.

The Director Police Fire and Rescue Service, John Mugisa, however pointed out, what could be the cause of the fire. “The fire started at 4 pm. We suspect it was as a result of an electrical short circuit,” he said.

Let us just hope for the best.
