What Octopizzo Told Kibera Youths After Destroying NYS Property Is A Message From A Man Who Has Been Redeemed From Political Myopia!

Kibera came to the limelight once again for all the unwanted reasons when a section of its residents descended on structures and amenities put up by NYS under the stewardship of the ministry of devolution, destroying some of them including clinics and toilets in what they say is protest of the alleged mishandling of money by devolution CS Anne Waiguru.

The destruction of the property came a day after pro-Waiguru demos had been held in Nairobi to defend the most powerful CS in the Jubilee government.

However, as it turned out, no one was impressed by the cowardly acts portrayed by the youths in the slummy area of the capital, with many condemning the incident and terming it a misplaced and unfortunate happening.

The latest to join the bandwagon of disgusted Kenyans is rapper Octopizzo.

Octopizzo was born and raised in Kibera and fully understands the plight of its residents. This perhaps explains why the talented rapper has greatly condemned the actions of the youths and terming them ignorant and so unfounded.

Through his social media accounts, Octopizzo bashed the youths for what they did, asking them whether they are satisfied with the conditions they are living in in Kibera.

He said:

As a Youth who grew up in Kibera Since we cannot change reality, let us change the eyes which see reality. ‪#‎KiberaYouths‬ Open your eyes, look within. Are you satisfied with the life you’re living?
Is it really worth it burning down a clinic?
The most violent element in society is ignorance:Ignorance is always afraid of Change. So when you spot violence, or bigotry, or intolerance or fear or just garden-variety misogyny, hatred or ignorance, just look it in the eye and think, ‘The good outnumber you, and we always will.’
Kibera Youths it’s abt time.
