Yeah, Lupita is Famous Like That. Even the First Lady Recognizes

I’m still trying to conjure up how it feels being in Lupita Nyong’o’s heels; sweeping almost all the accolades there are to be won to breaking necks on the red carpet with her immaculate fashion. The Kenyan silver screen goddess’ role in award winning Steve McQueen’s 12 Years A Slave has won her admiration and affection of many.

Late last week, the First Lady, Margaret Kenyatta congratulated Lupita after she became the first ever Kenyan to be nominated for the Academy Awards, commonly known as The Oscars.

She said Lupita’s nomination “is a great inspiration to young girls”.

“Congratulations to Lupita Nyong’o for her nomination for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for 12 Years a Slave in the 86th Academy Awards! Her nomination for this award is a great inspiration to young girls who desire to pursue an acting career and paves the way for their dreams to come true.”
