It is Lame to Stay in a Violent Marriage for Financial Gains

Toke Makinwa advises her followers on walking out of toxic marriages.

Popular OAP, Toke Makinwa, who has been separated from her husband for a while now, for several reasons, has taken to her Twitter page to advice her followers on issues concerning marriage.

This was in a tweet chat where her followers got to ask her questions. Taking a question on domestic violence from a follower, Toke advised that women walk away.

According to her, it is lame to stay in a marriage for financial gain. She however, added that she is yet to see anyone that left and is doing badly. It limits you from your potential, she said.

The conversation below;

Staying in a domestic marriage because of financial gain or the lies you tell yourself about surviving is lame, I’m yet to see anyone leave a bad situation do badly, it’s the fear that keeps you from your potential.

The follower, however, noted that she is asking for someone:

Well, I ask this concerning someone who I know, she is afraid because of her children. How will she survive with 5 of them.

To that, Toke replied:

If she’s dead, they will survive. Women need to get busy, relying on a man can put you in jeopardy. Use your hands, get up, get busy.
