Looks Like there is Hope for Sadiq Daba as Nigerians Respond to Fundraising Pleas

Funds are still rolling in.

Just last week, words broke that veteran actor, Sadiq Daba was suffering from prostate cancer. (Read Here). The actor put out words that he was at the verge of having his prostates out, a decision which the actor said was not favourable to him. Rather than being castrated, the movie veteran said he had the option of taking an injection that was worth 150,000 every month. Apparently, money was his major problem.

Philanthropist/ activist, Dr. Joe, Odunmakin paid a visit to the actor and soon, words broke out for help from well meaning Nigerians.

A social media campaign which called on 20,000 Nigerians to donate 1,000 Naira each commenced. The funds were to be sent to his account: ABUBAKAR SADIQ DABAH – 1005382276 – UBA account. (You can still make donations). This fund however is meant to fly the ailing veteran abroad for medical attention.

The good news therefore is that reports by Dr. Joe has it that Nigerians have responded positively  and in four days have raised 10.5 Million Naira.

She wrote:

Sadiq Daba Update : We thank God that Nigerians have greatly influenced the possibility of getting quality treatment for our dear Icon, Sadiq Daba. Only four days the account was reading N350k, then on Friday if rose to N1.5m and N10.5m as at 10am today and it is growing. We pray it continues like this so that we can conclude in a matter of days. Dr. Joe Okei Odumakin and Mr. Soni Irabor.

Plea is still on to kind hearted Nigerians to donate a token of 1000 Naira to the actor’s account number to help save his life.
