Ayo Makun (AY) Gives Reasons Why he Spent Nine Years in the University

Ayo Makun’s life hasn’t always been rosy.

Nigerian comedian cum actor, Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY, has revealed that he spent nine years in Delta State University.

According to the comic act, when his father passed on, his mother didn’t waste any time to join him. This made him assume the position of a father to his siblings as the first child. He had to tend to his four sisters and two baby brothers.

These responsibilities, made him stall in his education, he said.

His words;

Embracing the responsibilities of taking care of my four sisters and two baby brothers wasn’t the best message to preach to a waiting landlord whose rent must be paid in due time.

The combination of being a big brother and father came with a price that kept me in Delta State University for 9 years as a student.”

So many people have obviously gone through much more than one can imagine from the surface. Good thing he and his siblings are finishing strong. Bravo AY!
