Bonang Matheba bags another gig as The People’s Pageant SA host

Bonang Matheba will be hosting The People’s Pageant SA. This is a new pageant that seeks to celebrate SA women who are helping others to transform the world around them.

The pageant will therefore focus on inner beauty and the impact that contestants have made in society.

The competition is thus open to women between the ages of 20 and 40, all competing for the title. Young ladies between the ages of 13 and 19 can also enter to become The People’s Princess.

As Bonang hosts the show, her foundation, The Bonang Matheba Foundation, will partner with the pageant. They will provide one education bursary valued at R50,000 per week for 30 weeks.

In speaking about the pageant, Bonang  showed her excitement. “Being passionate about empowerment and education, this is such a great fit for for me. I sincerely believe that South African women can be the change we need to be as a nation, and The People’s Pageant SA is such a special opportunity to uncover our gems.

“This is all about passing it on and giving a leg up to those who are determined to make it. My mission for 2019 is dedicated time and attention to initiatives and engage partners who are in support of African women’s education and empowerment. Nd what a great partnership The People’s Pageant SA is in this regard.”

Prizes from the pageant include, cash, a car and bursaries.

The finals will be in December, 2019.
