Dj Zinhle was the second guest of #RealTalkon3 with Azania Mosaka. She spoke on Motherhood,co-parenting with AKA and also her new book.

On her relationship with AKA, Zinhle said that they were in a good space.

“It took a lot of work. Parenting is a tricky thing.”

When it comes to parenting Kairo she said, “He (AKA) is strict and I bend quickly. He is a fun person but he can switch up so quickly. Sometimes when Kairo does something I say ‘I’m going to tell your dad about this’ and she says ‘Well, I’m going to tell daddy too’ but he is a really cool dad.”

A viewer asked a question about moving on and forgiveness, Zinhle recalled a time when Kairo was just two months old and she was an emotionalwreck.

“When Kairo was two months old, one day, my emotions were all over and I remember I looked at Kairo and I said ‘Kairo daddy’s gone’ and I just cried,”

“But Kairo just gave me this look that reassured me…even at that age… it’s like she was saying mommy look around you, you have a job, I’m here, you are a beautiful person, focus on the things that are going well.”

There is also a  new segment in the show includes surprise moments, and Zinhle’s first surprise was AKA’s mother  Lynn Forbes, congratulating Zinhle on her book “Meeting your Power”.

She said: “Hi Zee, look at you you are now officially a published author, wow! How amazing is that, congratulations!

“I’m so proud of you and very excited for you because I know you’ve been working on this and so many other projects for a long time, and it’s finally happening. I cannot wait to get my hands on a signed copy of course to read it from back to front because I’m sure it’s filled with wisdom and inspiration from which so many people would be able to draw.

“So well done once again, you are loved and adored, and you are such a special human being, all the best for this and all the other projects.”

Meeting The Power: Returning Home to Self is a women empowerment book that Zinhle co-written with leadership coach Nokubonga Mbanga. Viewers were encouraged to send their questions and the first question was about “how do you forgive someone who has wronged you”.

“Forgives starts with you…you need to forgive yourself first. And also forgive people without them asking for an apology, so that you can move on to a better space. Forgiveness is about you, your own progress, your own healing, it’s not about the next person…forgiveness is a gift to self”.

In the book the two ladies share some of their personal experiences. Zinhle opened up about her insecurities growing up, she was told she will never get married because she was lazy.

“There’s lot of things that I still can’t do like cook or clean properly. I grew up believing I will never amount to anything… no one will marry you because I called lazy, vila voco, which loosely translates to extreme laziness.

Azania asked if that was the reason she was previously quoted that she will never get married, which Zinhle said she’s too independent to get married.

“I will never get married… I’m too independent and I enjoy my space. I can’t imagine sharing my house with someone else.”I just never had the desire, or passion to get married.”

DJ Zinhle and AKA are doing a good job at being co-parents to their daughter Kairo. Just last month on Mother’s Day, AKA shared a heartfelt message to DJ Zinhle. This time round, Zinhle celebrated him.

“I hope you feel as special every other day of the year, as you do today! Happy Father’s Day to the best Dad, the coolest dad, ey ?…. but also the strictest dad… Glad to be doing this with you, Kairo is the luckiest girl,” she wrote.

D j Zinhle is scheduled to release her book this coming Monday and she is telling us the details of how the book came into being .

The book is titled Meeting Your Power which she co authored with Nokubonga Mbanga.

The ladies met and hit it off immediately when they worked together on SABC1 docu-series It Takes a Village.

Mbanga says: “The book is inspired by our experiences as women. With the show we learnt some stuff about other women and what we saw was that they were going through challenges we went through.”

DJ Zinhle adds: “I think as South African women we don’t read self-help books and my growth has come from me reading books; that has taught me about myself and pushed me back to myself.

“We want women to start worrying about themselves more.

“We talk about this self-love all the time but we don’t even know what it is and how to work on it.”

Days after releasing her self-help book for women, DJ Zinhle is not showing signs of stopping.

She has been appointed as the local celebrity partner for international renowned eye wear brand, Prive Revaux.

She took time to share the news on her social media account.

“I’m excited to announce that I am officially the local celebrity partner for @priverevaux_sa.”

“I am extremely excited to be working alongside this incredible international brand and it’s motivated team.

“Being an entrepreneur, I think it is important to work with brands that align with my own personal brand and are relatable to my followers – I want them to feel a part of my world.”

Zinhle therefore joins celebrities such as Jamie Foxx, Hailee Steinfeld and Ashley Benson.

DJ Zinhle has taken over the latest issue of Destiny Magazine, rocking the cover with her daughter by her side.

DJ Zinhle shared on her Instagram Stories that the first time she appeared on the cover of the lifestyle magazine she was pregnant with Kairo, and now, almost three years later, she shares the cover with her toddler daughter.

According Destiny Magazine, Zinhle opens up about “balancing her hectic entrepreneurial schedule with mothering 34-month-old Kairo Forbes,” in the issue.

Weekend reports claimed that DJ Zinhle had found love in the arms of a Namibian businessman. She has however come out strongly to stop any further speculation, saying that the two are just friends.

Sources claimed to have seen Zinhle and Collins all loved up in a Johannesburg nightclub three weeks ago. It is said Collins is keeping his mind off his breakup with Brendon Naidoo.

Just friends

DJ Zinhle’s management refused to confirm whether the two were dating or not. It revealed that they had become friends over their shared interest in real estate and design.

“Her home project has led to a greater interest in property‚ décor and design‚ which has opened multiple opportunities for Zinhle. Collin and Zinhle have become friends through this newly found interest‚” her PR manager Jessica Porter said.

She added that Zinhle’s focus was solely on her music‚ child and new home.

“Zinhle is currently completely focused on her daughter Kairo‚ her career and settling into their new home.”

The DJ rarely comments on her personal life.

DJ Zinhle has gone a notch higher. She has dropped her own Bluetooth headphones.

Through a partnership with Rocka ZA, she has been able to launch the headphones. The headphones are dubbed DJ Zinhle Blaze Your Own Trail.

She shared her excitement on Twitter. ” I am thrilled to be launching yet another product with the Rocka team and the addition of these new Bluetooth headphones to my existing range of Rocka Products is another proud moment.

The headphones are available at Makrl, Musica and CNA stores.

DJ Zinhle will be spending Christmas in her newly-built home.

The 33-year-old spent most of the year living with her bestie Pearl Thusi, while waiting for her home to be completed.

“I was literally homeless because of my building and she was in New York and forced me to move into her house, so I moved myself, my nanny and my baby into her house,” she told Channel O in November.

Zinhle has since moved into her new home, and recently shared pictures of her decor on Instagram.

DJ Zinhle is giving us life goals. From friendship, to music, and now fitness.

Zinhle and best friend Pearl Thusi have shown us what it is like having a friend. She is also changing lives through her reality show It Takes a Village.

Taking to Instagram, Zinhle shared a photo of her hard at work, training. She was punching a boxing bag and captioned the post: “Getting stronger every day.”

Zinhle also shared a video of her daughter Kairo, trying the bags. She was training at the Johannesburg-based Dainfern Fight Club.

DJ Zinhle is on her way to starting her reality show.

Early this year she announced that she was shooting it. The show is now set to premiere on Wednesday the 8th of November at 2100hrs on SABC1.

The name of the show is It takes a Village. It will be bases in Dannhauser, KZN, which is Zinhle’s hometown.

When a fan updated on Twitter about the show, Zinhle added, “Lol. It starts next Wed at 21:00 on SABC1.. ” It takes a Village, is the name of the show which will be based in Zinhle’s hometown, Dannhauser in KZN. We cannot wait to see what you have in store or us Mama Ka Kairo
