Babes Wodumo, Nasty C nominated for EMA Award

Babes Wodumo and Nasty C have been nominated to the 2017 MTV Europe Music Award (EMA).

Both are competing in the Best African act, and will battle for the title together with Wizkid and Davido from Nigeria, C4 Pedro from Angola and Nyashinski from Kenya.

The awards will be held on the 12th og November in London, with Rita Ora as the host.

Last year, Back Coffee and Casper Nyovest lost to Tanzania’s Alikiba.

Nasty C offering a reward for anyone who find his laptop.

Southafrican rapper Nasty C is offering a reward for anyone who finds his laptop.This comes after Nasty c survived a robbery at gun point earlier this week.

Nasty C  released a statement offering to reward anyone who finds his laptop with R100k.He stated that the laptop contained music that he has been working on.

Here is the official statement:

Guys, please help me find my laptop.. it has my music that I’ve been working on for more than a year. I was robbed of it at gunpoint a couple nights ago. If anyone sees this VERY RARE laptop or has any information on where it is, please contact @mabala_noise (0710731146; 0763011973; 0789182220) & report for a R100,000.00 reward. Thank you!

Nasty C robbed at gun point

Nasty C was reportedly a victim of a house robbery at a property in Roodekraans, Gauteng on Wednesday morning. Gauteng Provincial Communications Officer Captain Mavela Masondo has confirmed that police are on the hunt for two suspects involved in the house robbery.

According to Masondo, the two armed suspects stormed into a property in Roodekraans where the rapper and his crew were, held them at gunpoint and robbed them of their valuables. “Yes, I can confirm that it happened. A cellphone, tablet, laptop and Rolex watch were stolen,” he said. “No suspects have been arrested yet.”

It is believed that the intruders entered the house through a bathroom window, and found  seven victims. The intruders then forced the victims into a studio where four of them, including Nasty C, were tied with cable ties while their belongings were stolen.

The stolen items are estimated to be worth R800 000, including Nasty C’s 18-carat yellow gold Rolex watch, which was reportedly worth R488 000.
