Its official, Uhuru Kenyatta is the most popular president in Sub-Saharan Africa.

This can be established through an audit report which has been carried amongst various presidents’ Facebook pages where Uhuru’s had the most followers.

With 2.95 million fans on Facebook he is followed by Nana Akufo-Addo – the new Ghana President, and Rwanda’s Paul Kagame, with 1.34 million and 700,000 followers respectively.

The Facebook page of the government of Ethiopia however is the most prolific page, with an average of 29 posts per day in 2016 followed by the government of Botswana with 28 posts per day.

The study by PR firm Burson-Marsteller identified Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the most followed world leader on Facebook with 40 million followers followed by Donald Trump with 20 million followers.

Modi also had the most interactions (likes, comments, and shares) of any world leader on Facebook in 2016 with 169 million interactions.

His activity far outpaces the second-placed world leader, Cambodia’s Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen, who had 58 million interactions.
