Star Struck Tuesday: Peace Proscovia

Our Ugandan star thisTuesday is Peace Proscovia. Do you remember the lady who took the Netball Cranes to being crowned the African Netball Champions in June after they defeated over five countries? Well, read on!

Peace Proscovia who is currently studying a Masters’ Degree, playing for a University team in the UK was also taken up by Gilbert Netball as an ambassador in Dec 2016. Peace is just moving faster and faster, and she has  scooped 3 accolades at the 2017 Golden Globe Awards following her remarkable performance with Loughborough Lightening.

Peace had played for Loughborough Lightning back in 2015 and 2016 but re-signed for further two years following change in visa regulations. In 2016, she managed to find a way of continuing with her dream and enrolled at Loughborough University for a MSc in Marketing at the University’s School of Business and Economics, alongside Netball.

 

The talented player won the Player of the season Award, Players’ Player of the Season and was also named in the All Star Team as the best Goal Shooter (GS).

The Uganda National team Netball captain posted on her face book;

Father I have nothing to say but to honour your name God and give you the glory for triple awards for it has not been by my powers but you.

England netball thank you so much for not words can explain my gratitude for you. To all my sponsors loughborough lightning, loughborough university and gilbert netball and everyone that has contributed to my success not forgetting all my fans who have always been there for me thank you.

Proscovia netted a total of 812 goals. and managed to beat her teammate Beth Cobden, Natalie Haythorthwaite (Wasps), Bongiwe Msomi (Wasps), Gabby Marshal and Layla Gusoth, on the player of the season award.
