6 men armed with deadly assault rifles storm Joho’s Nyali house

Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho has today March 15th 2017 recorded a statement at Coast regional police headquarters after unknown men stormed his house.

Joho was flanked by journalists and his supporters as he went to the police station, apparently some 6 people armed with AK47 rifle stormed into his house in Nyali and stayed for about an hour.

While addressing the press, Joho said the men were unshaken and warned a neighbor who spotted them to keep off if he wanted to stay alive.

The house was vacant at the time of the raid, the Mombasa governor vacated his Nyali home months ago following a squabble with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The raid at Joho’s house comes only a day after Uhuru gave the Mombasa governor a verbal thrashing during the re-launch of Mtongwe ferry services.

Joho addresses journalists after recording a statement

“I suspect if they were not after me they went to the construction site because they wanted to plant some illegal guns and later link them to me,” Joho told journalist.

The Mombasa governor also said that he would not demand for more security explaining that it is God who gives life and takes.
