Admired True Blood Actress in Kenya

 

While season finale for True Blood was airing on TV screens on Sunday in America, vampire Pam — actress Kristin Bauer Van Straten – was in Kenya playing a totally different role.

 

The actress was at the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage in Nairobi visiting the cute calves. She is a celebrity patron of the International Fund for Animal Welfare, and is in Kenya to make a documentary with her husband, South African musician Abri Van Straten, that will highlight the threat to elephants and rhinos.

 

This morning, Bauer Van Straten not only shared a photo of herself from the True Blood finale, she tweeted: “This morning a Lion walked by the car 2 ft. away from me, stopped, looked at me & sauntered off.”

 

She is reported to spend four weeks filming the documentary about the effort to stop elephant ivory and rhino horn poaching.
