After bagging the title of ‘Trace Airtel music star (Kenya) back in 2015,Webi has continued to grow in the competitive music industry and has thrived as a multi-talented singer, songwriter and performer.
Brought up in a musical family, Webi’s entry into Kenya’s music scene was more or less a certainty.
The talented singer has won several awards like Best Gospel R&B Song in Africa, “The Place” (Acoustic Version) Best Gospel R&B Artist or Group, Live Gospel Performance of the Year at the 2008 edition of The One Gospel awards, for music from the debut album “Outside My Window”.
Webi’s style of music and his vocal prowess has continued to allure his audience and now his fans will be pleased taht he is dropping his third album called Lukundo.
‘Lukundo’ is a word in the Taita dialect (the language of the artiste); a befitting one describing what this 13 track album talks about – Love. The message in this album is simplified into an everyday perspective that immediately connects with the listener.
The album has songs like Pamoja Milele and Nikuskize which have continued to receive vast airplay. Webi has featured two Kenya’s top female artists in this album, who will be unveiled on the album launch day (On Friday 29th April 2016 from 7 p.m. at The Elephant 3 Kanjata Road, Lavington)
