Lupita’s upcoming movie is already provoking action even before it is officially released.
Sometimes in March last year, Lupita Nyong’o sneaked into the neighboring Uganda to participate in the shooting of the Disney movie ‘Queen of Katwe’

‘Queen of Katwe’ is a movie based on the story of chess prodigy Phiona Mutesi; a young girl from Uganda who trains to become a world chess champion. Lupita is the girl’s mother in the movie. The movie will officially be released on 23rd September 2016.
‘Queen of Katwe’ is already provoking action; Alicia Keys was so inspired by the movie that she decided to write a song about it.
“I was totally taken by Queen of Katwe. Phiona’s story is so powerful. It just moved me to write a song called ‘Back to Life’,” Alicia Keys said in a video.
