Ambassador Amina Mohammed Angrily Tells Off CNN After They Referred To Kenya A Terrorist Hub

CNN is still making headlines after it undermined Kenya early today when it labeled it a terror hotbed. The undermining statement by the American media house has elicited mixed reactions among many Kenyans, with majority expressing their disgust at the unfortunate happening.

This comes a day before Obama jets into the country to grace the Global Entrepreneurship Summit.

Ambassador Amina Mohammed, Cabinet Secretary for Foreign Affairs, has responded to CNN following their blatant of disregard of Kenya’s efforts to make the country a safe haven.

Speaking to Capital FM early today, the ambassador wondered why CNN was trying to make Kenya look like it owns terrorism.

“We know about terrorism and we are doing everything to curb it. It has happened in New York, Boston, London, Paris, Madrid, Russia. Terrorism doesn’t respect boundaries, nationalities, and it attacks everybody and everywhere. Turkey, Ethiopian troops in Somalia…” she said.

“We claim no ownership of terrorism. The biggest lesson is that we must come together. We must share everything we have to fight it,” Ambassador Amina said.
