An Open Letter To ‘God’ Jehovah Wanyonyi Followers

The news of the disappearance of Jehovah Wanyonyi, a man who managed to convince a section of Kenyans that he has powers just like God, has caused heart-ache among his ardent followers, with many calling for speedy investigations to establish what happened to him.

While rumour has it that he may have passed on after falling ill, I have opted to write this open letter to his followers who are still blinded by the jams this Kenyan cast on them.

First and foremost it is very sad to lose a person whom you hold so close to your heart. The disappearance of Jehovah Wanyonyi without a trace is not only a blow to his followers but also something that should concern every Kenyan. So I stand with the ardent followers as we hope that Jehovah Wanyonyi is not dead as some people purported yesterday. If he is, then it is prudent that we know where his corpse is so that he is accorded a befitting send off.

Having said that, and considering that Kenya is a democratic country which allows freedom of worship, I want to go against this tenet of democracy and tell Jehovah Wanyonyi followers that it is very unfortunate for over 1000 people to be blinded by a fellow human being and resort to worship him.

While we have this freedom, it is not advisable to misuse it by doing the unnecessary things.

I know someone has already collected stones and wants to hurl them at me. Hold on, stone me after this piece. There are so many things we can compare between Jehovah Wanyonyi and God or between Jehovah Wanyonyi and Allah. And at the end of the day, you will realize that there is nothing that Jehovah Wanyonyi has that comes close to what the Supreme Being has.

jehovah

I mean, God or Allah have never fallen sick. They are supreme beings. They are mighty. They are powerful. Jehovah Wanyonyi? A mere Kenyan who used his jams to blindfold a few Kenyans to kneel and worship him.

A man who cannot perform a miracle. A man who is never satisfied with the number of women in his life. A man wants to enrich himself by siphoning everything from his myopic followers.

Tell me why most of you look dejected and live below the poverty line if Jehovah Wanyonyi, your God who has left you without leaving a sign behind, cares about you and wants the best for you. Tell me why your God has this insatiable appetite for women such that he bags more than 70 of them in the name of exercising his supremacy over you.

Why is your God being taken to hospital after falling ill? Why can’t he treat himself and get out of his ailments? Why in the first place did he allow himself to fall sick?

The other day I saw one of his many wives chasing away curious villagers who wanted to know what had happened to Jehovah Wanyonyi. Among the words she uttered is, God who is above will punish you for wishing Jehovah Wanyonyi death. This means his wife knows her husband is a cheat. There is one God. There is one Allah.

As I conclude, I urge you ardent followers of an imposter. Wake up from slumber. Wake up from myopia and sycophancy. Open your eyes. Someone is playing tricks on you.

Jehovah Wanyonyi is just a mere Bukusu individual who wants to enrich himself and gain fame through unscrupulous means.

The easiest target for cons and hypocrites are the poor, those living in abjection.
