Word on the street is that Kenyan artists are not making money as they should because the Copyrights board is sleeping on its job. 

A detailed video by Elani exposed the harsh realities of being an artist in Kenya, all the hype with nothing in your pockets. The latest celebrity to declare the peanuts they got from the board was singer Avril who received less than  five thousand shillings as royalties that her music had earned. 

Shortly after making the above post her handle on Instagram went missing. It seems that she has deleted her account for reasons that we cannot tell at this time.
