Capital In The Morning Run Into Trouble With The Authorities

It was meant to be just another ordinary outdoor broadcast session earlier today for 98.4 Capital in The Morning Show hosts Chris Foot and Maqbul this morning as they took to Studio C, which is the station’s mobile broadcast van and set up shop at the Kenyatta Avenue roundabout, just next to Uhuru Park.

The show was as regular and interesting as ever, up until the point when some National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) officials came up to the mobile van and started questioning the team about permits that allowed the alfresco broadcast.

Presenter Maqbul even twitpic-ed a photo of the officials coming up to the mobile van and the presenters said they were being asked about what such things as what measures they had taken to ‘reduce vibration’ of the vehicle as well as other noise-emittance control features to minimise the effect the station had on the immediate environment.

We’re yet to establish just what conclusion they came to but at least the show was allowed to proceed till its conclusion at 10.00am this morning.
