Check out Kenya’s First Single to Burst into Top 5 UK Chart

Kenyan music is gradually getting international recognition, and hopefully we can get a ‘Lupita’ in music who will go all the way and win a Grammy. For now though artists must go an extra mile.

However, that doesn’t mean we don’t recognize those that are already putting Kenya on the global music map.

A fortnight ago, Candy n Candy Records released a single track, co-produced with an Atlanta-based record label, and we’re happy to reveal that it’s doing so well internationally. As at last week, the track, Nyce n Slow broke into the top 30 chart in UK on Reverbnation and it has been on an upward trajectory the whole weekend.

Today, the Nyce n Slow, burst into the top 5 hottest singles in UK this week. Standing at #4 the single is expected to rise even higher up the charts.

The video for the song is ready for release and is set to drop any time this week.
