Citizen TV’s Sakata III Winners want You to Know What Happened to Them

In 2009, 5 boys with the same dream came together to form one of the most vibrant dance groups in the country that saw them crowned Sakata III winners and pocket KSh1,000,000. But how has their journey been?

Well, it hasn’t been a walk in the park for the 5 original members; Michael Likulu (Mikey), John Wamae (Sanchez), Douglas Ongoro (Dougie), Solomon Ndung’u (Jemedare) and Joseph Njoroge (Cubbs). Rising above substandard housing and squalor that was their homes, Blackblingers Dance Crew is currently one of the best dance groups in the country.

Theirs has been a journey characterized by sweat, tears and blood, quite literally, to get to where they are. Just at the peak of their career, tragedy struck home. Sanchez was hit by a car and dislocated his knee threatening their output in the competition. However, that did not stop them from clinching the best dance group title of 2013.

The group now has 7 members after Victor Mishael and Valentine Muthomi joined Blackblingers in 2012.

Blackblingers has decided to document its story and let the whole world know what has been going on behind the scenes. Its documentary is ready and will start airing very soon. Below is the trailer;
